Welcome to Magic: The Gathering at Planet JJs Geekery! Play with others in a game that lets you explore rich worlds, discover unique strategies, and develop your skills…
On a Wednesday evening Planet JJs hosts regular casual Commander Evening. The Commander format is all about picking your hero and building a deck around them. In this casual, multiplayer format, you choose a legendary creature to serve as your commander and build the rest of your deck around their colour identity and unique abilities. Players are only allowed one of each card in their deck, with the exception of basic lands, but they can use cards from throughout Magic’s history.
We welcome all levels of experience at Planet JJs, but if you have never played before and are wanting to learn the game, please contact us directly so we can arrange, and make sure, we have someone available to show you the basics to get you going! MtG Commander evenings run weekly on Wednesday from 18:00 to 21:00 – £6 per person. On the last Wednesday of the month we aim to run Draft Events, check out our events page and social media for what the next Draft will be!!

If you are planning to attend one of our draft nights, prereleases, or special events a Wizards of the Coast Account will be required, and where possible access to the Companion App.

The main format of MtG we play at Planet JJs is Commander! Don’t worry if you have never heard of it, its great format that allows 3-5 people play at the same time, so its very social and very fun with friends.
